2013-2014 Business Professionals of America,Idaho

Secondary Officer Team

Allysha Yasuda
President

My name is Allysha Yasuda, and I am currently a senior at Fruitland High School. I live in a small town, but I love to be involved in my community. I have a passion for soccer, tennis, Japanese dancing, singing, and spending time with my friends and family. When I’m not busy with school, I enjoy watching movies and inventing new puns to make people laugh.  After high school, I plan to go into the medical field and become a doctor. When I was nineteen months old I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Since then it has had a large impact upon my life. In fact, diabetes is what inspired me to become a doctor. Originally I had planned on becoming a pediatric endocrinologist, a diabetes doctor for kids, but I am still open to specialize in other departments besides endocrinology.  Being a part of Business Professionals of America has been the best experience of my high school career. It has given me so many opportunities to grow as a person and as a leader. No matter what you plan to do after high school, BPA can help you get there. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I’d love to talk to you about BPA!

Tahj McDaniel
Vice-President

My name is Tahj McDaniel and I am your State Vice President. I am from the Dietrich High School Chapter. I am an avid rock climber, climbing twice a week with my friend and fellow BPA member, Camas. I am a very active member of my community. I attend county coalition meetings, do work with the American Red Cross, and I am always searching for ways to help other people.

After high school I hope to attend either Indiana University or the University of Texas-Austin to earn a master’s degree in Finance. Business Professionals of America has helped me discover my passion for finance. I want to pursue investment banking as a career and I have BPA to thank for that.

I look forward to an exciting year that is full of many achievements for the Idaho BPA association as a whole and connecting with as many members as possible.

Benny Carlisle
Parlimentarian/
Historian

I went from being farm girl to finding my passion in business through Business Professionals of America. The world has become an endless possibility for this small town mademoiselle. My dreams have expanded into experiencing the world.

Steps I have been taking to reach my dreams is pushing myself through each school day, working on the family apple farm, being involved in plays around the community, supporting siblings in their extracurricular activities, and learning to take responsibility for my own life.

I am a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, HOSA, 4-H, and my favorite, Business Professionals of America. With a full schedule you will always find me running, but on those few moments when there is nothing else to do I transport myself anywhere in the world with a good book.

I am currently serving as Idaho’s Historian/Parliamentarian. I attend school in the great town of Jerome where I enjoyextracurricular activities which include cross country, basketball, tennis, and my favorite;  Business Professionals of America.

One of the things I enjoy most about BPA is the opportunity to meet and serve people from all over the country. This is my junior year and I am thrilled to continue my education with BPA’s help.

In addition to serving in BPA and my community,I enjoy humanitarian service. Most of my service opportunities have been local.I was very fortunate to travel to Ecuador’s high Andes where I helped my mom and sister as well as other volunteers to tutor students to get ready for their secondary studies. For me this experience reinforced the commitment to serve as well as my gratitude for all the privileges and blessings we take for granted in the United States.

I am grateful and honored for the opportunity to represent you as one of your state officers and am excited to be serving this year.
